The southern section of the Xi’an Outer Ring Expressway is a key component of Shaanxi Province’s “2367” expressway network plan. Together with the already completed northern section of the Xi’an Outer Ring Expressway, the Lianhuo Expressway, the Yulan Expressway, and the Hushan Expressway, it forms a ring-shaped expressway network around Greater Xi’an. The southern section has a total length of 70 kilometers, of which bridges account for 41.7 kilometers, or 64% of the route—making it the section with the highest bridge-to-total-length ratio in Shaanxi’s plain region. Tunnels span 3.39 kilometers, resulting in a bridge–tunnel ratio of 64.4%. The entire project is designed for a speed limit of 120 kilometers per hour, with a roadbed width of 34.5 meters, conforming to the standard for a six-lane dual-carriageway expressway. It includes 11 interchange flyovers, comprising four hub interchanges and seven service interchanges, as well as two service areas—Ziwu Service Area and Yinzhen Service Area. Construction of the southern section of the Xi’an Outer Ring Expressway is scheduled for completion and opening to traffic in 2020.
On June 11–12, 2019, Pei Yulai, Chief Technical Officer of the precast girder yard for Section LJ-2 of the Southern Segment of the Xi’an Outer Ring Expressway Project, visited our company for an inspection and conducted on-site acceptance of the highway’s hydraulic box girders. He expressed high praise for our company’s commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing, its advanced management systems, and its corporate culture development.

In March of this year, Dongfeng Shijing Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. won the bid for 14 sets of hydraulic box girders for highway construction on the southern section of the Xi’an Outer Ring Expressway. Upon receiving the order, frontline employees demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, working overtime and adhering to a reverse schedule to ensure the successful completion of the contract. To date, production of all units has been substantially completed. The products feature innovative design, elegant aesthetics, and high technical sophistication; following rigorous inspection, meticulous commissioning, and customer acceptance, they fully meet the requirements of the construction project. It is expected that shipments will begin in late June, with units being loaded and dispatched to Xi’an in stages.
